Camp Hidden Meadows offers a coed summer camp for ages 7-16. We offer a positive work environment, beautiful setting, wonderful staff and a rewarding summer. Caring for ill or injured campers and staff, Maintaining health logs for each camper and staff member, Managing and dispensing medications, and electronically logging administration information, Communicating and coordinating with Camp Directors regarding camper and staff health and safety, Handling health calls throughout the day. Being on call on nights as needed in rotation with other Camp Nurses, Responding to any emergency which may arise at camp. Experience working with children strongly preferred. Position Available: Lead Mountain Biking Staff (with bike repair experience) Salary Range: $2,250+ Depending on experience
Camp Hidden Meadows offers a coed summer camp in the beautiful mountains of West Virginia. Two to three afternoons a week, the Mountain Biking PAL will facilitate off-site trips for a group of 10-12 campers along with another Staff Member. The Mountain Biking PAL will have time each week for bike and trail maintenance, leading one-hour entry level activities for campers, and may chaperone other adventure trips as needed. Position Available: Spring/Fall Teacher Naturalists Salary Range: $400/week
Spring and Fall educators lead activities for children in grades 1 - 8 who come to BCWS for three day/two night visits. Duties include: leading hikes, teaching science lessons, supervising camp-out groups, and helping to maintain the facility. Work days during program are approx. 7:00 am to 9:00 pm, with set up and tear down work before and after the visit. Position Available: Summer Staff Salary Range: Starting at $250 a session, increasing with experience.
Summer camp teaching staff must be at least 16 years old and certified in basic first aid and CPR, and WFA for those 18+. Summer staff begin as dishwashers (though they still lead workshops with campers!) and then may move on to supervising dorms or helping in the kitchen. Staff create a vibrant community, fostering childrens' sense of wonder and encouraging creativity through music, writing, and visual arts. This role allows you to share your passions with campers and co-workers: teach workshops about your interests and lead a diverse array of afternoon activities!
