Camp Kippewa for Girls

Residential girls' summer camp, ages 6-15

Monmouth, Maine

Kippewa is a unique all-girls overnight camp in Maine for ages 6 to 15 with two different session lengths available.

Our two week camp, Camp Kippewa Point, offers a complete camp experience in just two weeks! Each session has a distinct beginning and end with campers arriving and departing together.

For both Camp Kippewa Point and Camp Kippewa, we offer extensive Arts programs with studio and fine arts & crafts, along with dance & theater. For Camp Kippewa 3 1/2 weeks - onsite horseback riding facilities host an unbeatable Equestrian program where campers can ride daily. For both camps, Lake Cobbosseecontee is the perfect setting for top-notch Water Sports instruction in waterskiing, sailing, windsurfing, canoeing and kayaking. Our programs also offer a variety of Land Sports including tennis, gymnastics, softball and lacrosse. Campers enjoy the natural setting of Maine with beach days, wilderness hikes, white water rafting, canoe trips and more.

The directors at Kippewa believe every girl needs a safe, fun place to make friends, to learn social, artistic, and athletic skills, and to take childhood's steps toward the independence of adulthood.

Main focus is helping campers improve or advance their equestrian skills and knowledge with mounted lessons and instruction in horsemanship, horse training, and barn management. Safety is a top priority. We follow safety standards of the Certified Horsemanship Association (CHA).

Daily schedule also includes horse care: cleaning, grooming, tacking/un-tacking, feeding, and learning about horse anatomy and development. In addition to their expertise, our staff provide the individual attention, caring, and fun you find in traditional camp settings!
