Camp High Rocks has one opening for a director of its summer whitewater program. Director must be experienced in teaching both open and closed boats. Rivers we paddle include the Chattooga, Nantahala, Tuckaseegee, French Broad, Green, and Pigeon. Qualifications: At least 21 years of age, experience leading river trips, Wilderness First Responder, and ACA whitewater instructor certification (certification available prior to camp season). Camp High Rocks, a private boys camp in Western North Carolina, has an assistant director opening for its summer rock climbing program. Candidate should have extensive experience with climbing, instruction, equipment, and related outdoor skills. Responsibilities: Help direct 7-8 climbing instructors. Camp High Rocks has an opening for the director of our Challenge Course. Our course consists of 18 high elements at 25 and 45 feet. Director will lead a small team of facilitators and together they will guide campers through ground school, processing, and debriefing the experience on the course. The Director will be in charge of overseeing course maintenance and scheduling cabin groups for the course. Director will also serve as the lead facilitator on the course. We have a strong need for excellent Junior Counselors who are excited about learning and responsibility. The role of a Junior Counselor is rooted in service, loving kids unconditionally, and sharing Christ in daily life.
