An intentional and sound philosophy is behind everything we do at camp. Each 10 person cabin unit is arranged by birth gender, age and grade so everyone is able to maximize friendships and fun. Our campers are treated as unique individuals and we work extremely hard to make sure no one falls between the cracks. Every camper is a valued and important member of our community and we look forward to building a long term relationship with your family. It begins with an emphasis on inclusivity and kindness, parents and campers can feel a unique sense of community the moment they arrive. And because kids learn better when they are relaxed and having fun, we make sure that they are growing in ways and developing new skills more effectively than they could at home, in school, or through organized sports. Using fun and outdoor adventure as our delivery system, we focus on the Camp Highlander Core Values: COURAGE (Dare to Be Brave), HONESTY (Speak Truth in Love), INTEGRITY (Respect Yourself, Others and Nature), and FAITH (Seek Truth and Believe).
Residential Girls' Camp

Camp Riva-Lake is situated in a quiet cove on Tims Ford Lake in Winchester, Tennessee. Surrounded by an abundance of natural resources, Riva-Lake is within minutes of some of the region's most beautiful sites for outdoor adventure, including the Elk River and Rutledge Falls.

The girls also focus on teamwork and participate in big-little sister programs to foster leadership, sisterhood, and cooperation.
Riva-Lake is a small camp staffed with a wonderful, committed, trained group of counselors and senior staff who are dedicated to making each camper's summer experience a full and memorable one. Riva-Lake is an "unplugged" camp. In a world of today's hyper-connected world, we feel strongly that a break from devices enables this generation to forge authentic connections not only with those around them, but the nature surrounding them and the moments they are experiencing.

ADTC is open to dancers of ALL levels. Campers take four dance classes daily and at week's end they get to show off their new moves in a big Friday night performance for family, friends and fellow campers.
Outside of class, ADTC campers can enjoy swimming, hiking, horseback riding, tennis, paintball, kayaking, team events and more.

Camp Woodmont is a smaller-sized, traditional overnight summer camp for boys and girls. Founded by college teachers' Jane and Jim Bennett in 1981, Camp Woodmont is now in its 2nd generation of operation. Our family-type atmosphere means we can get to know every camper; giving younger campers a feeling of reassurance and belonging and older campers a chance to grow and contribute.

These are just a few of the traditions that make Camp Woodmont special. Our activities feature hiking, archery, a climbing wall and zip line, horseback riding, sports, arts & crafts and much more. Unlike other camps with hundreds of campers, Camp Woodmont has a limited enrollment. We average 85 campers per week. But because we're small, we provide personal attention and a comfortable home-like feeling. Counselors are college-aged, which provides a much more mature level of supervision.
We are located on 170 acres of beautiful North Georgia woodlands on top of Lookout Mountain (approximately 2 hours North of Atlanta and 30 minutes South of Chattanooga, Tennessee). Come visit during our Open House the 3rd Sunday in May.
