Nestled within 700 acres of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, Camp Roanoke is conveniently located just off Interstate 81 exit 132. Since 1925, our campers have enjoyed outdoor adventures such as canoeing, field games, hiking, campfires and a challenge course complete with a 44-foot climbing tower. FOR THE YOUNG PERSON WHO LOVES HORSES AND RIDING! Ride all day, experience different horses, and different riding styles: Hunters, jumpers, western, dressage and even Walking Horses. We teach balanced seat, European style riding which is the basis for western, hunt and dressage. Understand the mechanics of horse movement and the principals of horse thought. Learn training techniques with personalized instruction, and concentrate on improving your skills. Our philosophy encourages exploration of a wide range of horse experience and understanding of how the different schools of training fit together. Each camper will ride two- four different horses a day, depending on their skill level and interest. Bring your own horse if you have one and learn how to get the best out of him. Small numbers and individualized instruction makes each camper's experience unique. Memories by the minute!

YMCA Camp Silver Beach is located on the Chesapeake Bay on Virginia's Eastern Shore, with 1200' of pristine beachfront. Our 151 acres host a 55' Alpine Tower and Swing, swimming pools, sailing, kayaking, tennis courts, Wet Willie giant water slide, skate park, and optional ski school.
