The Audubon Center of the North Woods, an NCA-accredited residential environmental learning center, is a leader in offering meaningful nature experiences to people of all ages. Through our North Woods Wilderness Adventures, we provide a different kind of summer camp experience - an opportunity to engage teens in nature through a variety of outdoor activities and challenges that promote environmental awareness, compassion, teamwork and an ethic of care for the earth.

Our wilderness adventures start at our center on 535 acres on the east side of Grindstone Lake in east central Minnesota, where campers prepare for their trip by reviewing canoeing and camping skills.
