Outward BoundOutward Bound, a national nonprofit organization, offers over 500 adventure-based courses - year round - serving adults, teens and youth (ages 12+).
Course activities include rock climbing, sea kayaking, backpacking, mountaineering, sailing, dogsledding, canoeing and rafting in some of the most untouched wilderness areas across the nation. No matter the activity, courses focus on learning through experience, compassion, leadership and responsibility to both team and the environment. Courses range in length from 4 days to three months in length. Scholarships are available.

Morning: Campers participate in weekly athletic or recreational skill classes.

Established in 1996- The Young Actors Studio, located in Los Angeles, offers conservatory training in two age groups: 7-12 and 13-18. Summer acting camps include acting for the camera, scene study, technique, improvisation, and a production.
There is a two week program that focuses on previously written work, and a five week camp where students work with a commissioned writer on a role specifically created for them. Past commissioned plays have been published in our book: "Three New Plays from the Young Actors Studio."
