DMA is ideal for students of all ages wanting exposure to the most relevant software used in Hollywood and the entertainment industry, video game design, and web design while gaining hands-on experience under the eye of accomplished professionals. Whether to explore and area of interest, gain practical skills for the future or just have an incredible time with friends, DMA is unparalleled.
DMA offers day and overnight courses in the US and Canada in weekly and multi-week sessions for youth, age 6-18. DMA courses accommodate a wide variety of digital media interests in a more sophisticated learning environment than other summer computer camps. All courses are project based and taught by industry professionals and classroom teachers who have a passion for inspiring young minds. An average student to instructor ratio of 6 to 1 allows for plenty of individual attention as students explore, create and immerse themselves in an environment that is more like a production studio than a classroom.
Our programs are separated out by age groups: Teens (13-17), Pre-Teens (11-14), Kids programs called Digital Media Adventures (9-12), and Jr. Adventures (6-8). Course topics include game design, digital filmmaking, digital photography, web design, 3d animation, and visual effects.

The Oxbow School offers a unique summer camp opportunity for 13 to 16 year-olds who want to explore their creativity, develop their artistic talent, make lifelong friendships and have FUN! Unlike the general perception of art camps, we don't do busy craft projects. Staff are professional artists, teachers and graduates from some of the finest art schools in the country.
We emphasize the conceptual as well as the technical aspects of art. Campers are encouraged to seek out their own artistic interests while learning at their own pace and being challenged to broaden their horizons. The goal is to inspire and nurture creativity and enhance art skills. In our small camp environment, 50 students and 15 staff, each individual's uniqueness is honored and "held" in the arena of safety and unity of the camp community. Wellspring Camps provide a scientifically-based behavioral change program focused on long-term weight loss. The goal of Wellspring Camps is to expose campers who are more than 20 pounds overweight to different ways to get in shape and lose weight so that they continue to be active after camp ends.
Campers are typically grouped by age and gender, maximizing the program for each participant's needs and body type. In addition to recreational activities, campers meet with doctorate-level behavior coaches to make long-lasting changes in attitude and self esteem.

YMCA Camp Loma Mar
Residential coed summer campLocated in the magnificent redwood forests of the Santa Cruz Mountains on 105 acres in San Mateo County, California, Camp Loma Mar can accommodate 240 persons. We are part of YMCA East Bay (Oakland) and one of the oldest resident camps in the history of the YMCA. In 2010 a Sustainable Award was given to Camp Loma Mar through San Mateo County.
Our commitment is to encourage campers to make new friends, learn new skills, and challenge themselves in an outdoor setting. We host Family Camp, conference and retreat groups, and Outdoor Education Programs for Bay Area schools. Prices affordable, scholarships available. Summer camp prices range from $252-$620 per week.
Camp Kodiak

Camp Kodiak is an integrated, non-competitive camp serving children and teens with and without LD, ADHD, NLD and Asperger Syndrome. Our campers range in age from 6 to 18. Our program includes a SOCIAL SKILLS PROGRAM, an ACADEMIC PROGRAM and over 50 sports & activities. We build confidence and self-esteem by structuring all activities, athletic, artistic and social, to ensure success. Our staff includes teachers, psychologists, social workers, child & youth workers and recreation specialists. Our camper-to-staff ratio is 2-to-1 and our cabin groups are small.
We are located 2 1/2 hours northeast of Toronto in the beautiful Parry Sound vacation area. Our facilities include modern, lakefront, log cabins with full bathrooms and showers, 425 acres of land and 2 1/2 miles of lakefront. Our extensive indoor and outdoor facilities mean that the fun never stops, rain or shine. We are accredited members of the Ontario Camps Association and the Canadian Camping Association.
In 2007, at parents' request, we started a program for campers age 19 and over.

Wilderness adventure program
For over 30 years, SOAR has provided multi-length, adventure programs for youth diagnosed with ADHD and/or learning disabilities. Recognizing the outdoors provides an ideal classroom where relevant learning can occur and life skills can be taught, emphasis is placed on developing self-confidence, social skills, and problem solving techniques. Courses are co-ed, and are developed for youth ages 8 - 18 with average or above average intelligence and physical aptitude. Staff to student ratio is low, and instructors are hired for qualities of maturity and caring, enabling them to relate to students and enhance their adventure experience.
Activities vary by location and range from snorkeling and kayaking in the Florida Keys; backpacking, and whitewater rafting in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina; surfing and sea kayaking along the California Coast; and horsepacking and fishing in the Wind River Mountains of Wyoming and much more. Specialty courses include a trip to the rainforests of Costa Rica, learning to whitewater kayak and even participating in a western rodeo! New programs incude a Northern California Expedition and a traditional camp model in sunny Florida.
Gold Arrow Camp

Gold Arrow Camp is a traditional, resident summer camp for children on Huntington Lake in the Sierra National forest. Boys and girls, ages 6-14, enjoy rustic living and nightly campfires without the distractions of TV, computers, and telephones in a beautiful lakeside setting. Since 1933, children have returned year after year because of the feeling of tradition, community, and belonging that they experience. Through participation in a structured program of over twenty non-competitive watersports and traditional activities, campers are encouraged to try new things, build their skills, and take risks. The result is improved confidence and perseverance.
Campers participate in waterskiing, wakeboarding, sailing, motorboating, horseback riding, archery, riflery, mountain biking, rock climbing, and much more. Session lengths of 1-4 weeks run June through August. Gold Arrow Camp is accredited by the American Camp Association and is a member of the Western Association of Independent Camps.

Summer Institute for the Gifted

Gifted students in grades K-12 can participate in the renowned Summer Institute for the Gifted (SIG) program. Hosted at some of the most famous colleges and universities in the country such as Princeton University, Dartmouth College and UC Berkeley, SIG has the best well-rounded program for gifted students as it combines academics, social, cultural and recreational opportunities. Students live and learn on campus for three-weeks, leaving with the additional confidence gained by an experience that is all their own.
Because of our small classes, low teacher-student ratio, and teaching assistants, SIG is able to individualize the program for each and every student. Student safety, security and health are our top priority as SIG programs are well staffed for careful supervision. Ten day programs are available for younger students and most of our residential programs have a commuter option. Our more than 25 years of experience have made us the leading organization in the field.

Camp Tawonga

Residential coed summer campDesigned exclusively for 10-14 year olds, Jam Camp exposes kids to the hip contemporary trends in music along with fun outdoor recreational activities in the beautiful redwoods of Loma Mar, only 1 1/2 hours drive from the Bay Area.
The curriculum includes beatbox, turntables, instrumental ensembles taught by ear, dance, vocals, percussion, steeldrum, and body percussion.
Swimming, volleyball, basketball, hiking, ping-pong and tetherball round out each afternoon. A great alternative to traditional band camps, Jam Camp is an inclusive, supportive program offering fun non-competitive workshops, taught by professional artists. At Power Chord Academy, dedicated musicians ages 12-18 are put through the most inspirational, educational, and intensive programs of their young careers. Over the last 11 years, we have perfected the art of teen musician training, while providing a highly focused, fun, learning environment. We currently offer several programs for teenage musicians.

Skylake Yosemite Camp
Residential coed summer camp
Skylake continues the traditions of a camp founded in 1945 while constantly being updated to be exciting and relevant for today's youth. Our cabins have no electricty as we find candles are much more fun, a lot of singing at campfires, and an atmosphere that creates friendships for a life time. Our schedule is open for the campers to chose the activites they find most appealing. All of the traditional camp activities such as horseback riding, lake swimming, climbing wall, crafts, sports, tennis, and water skiing are available along with special celebration days, Yosemite trips, and contests galore.
Skylake hosts 210 coed campers each session with a staff of 70 counselors. The counselors are primarily college students who have completed a week of on site staff training, cpr and lifesaving certifications, and a proven love of children. Campers come primarily from the San Francisco Bay Area and the Los Angeles areas. Charter buses to camp are available from these locations. Skylake also hosts many campers from the east coast and from international locations. Campers are greeted at the Fresno Airport by Skylake staff and driven to the mountain location. Roughing It Day Camp
Coed summer day campRoughing it is a traditional all-outdoors day camp on a lake-front site in Lafayette (SF East Bay). Since 1972. Voted Best in the Bay. Owned/ Directed by Ann & Hobie Woods. 2, 4, & 8 week programs for children 4 1/2 - 16.
Activities emphasize personal growth, skill development, and fun, including horseback riding, fishing, rowing, canoeing, kayaking, swimming, adventure, sports, crafts, outdoors, environment, games and more! Roughing It also offers English and Western Horse Camps (3rd- 10th grade).
Transportation included from home and centralized pick up spots in San Francisco and throughout the East Bay. Extended care programs.
Douglas Ranch Camps
Coed Camp with Residential & Day Camp Sessions
Douglas Ranch Camp is an 80+ year old, family owned and operated, traditional residential & day coed camp. Residential camp is for ages 7-14 and Day camp is for 5-14. We are located on 120 acres in beautiful Carmel Valley, CA. Our unique 4 to 1 ratio of campers to staff provides individualized attention for each child in a structured program of classes in Western riding, swimming, tennis, archery, riflery and crafts. Counselors from across the US and around the world are chosen for their experience working with children, coaching sports, and having values that make them excellent role models. They help campers build self-confidence and social skills to last a lifetime, while encouraging them to try new experiences in a nurturing environment.
Different evening activities from barn dancing, themed days and costume parties to overnight camp-outs round out the fun! Douglas also offers a Friends & Family Weekend at the end of August each summer.

Immerse in the world of visual arts at this summer camp! For two weeks, ages 13-18 foster their creativity through either filmmaking, photography or web design. Teens choose from one of three courses: Film Production with Final Cut Studio, Professional Photography or Professional Web Design. Students will use industry-standard products like Photoshop, Lightroom, After Effects, Final Cut Pro 7, DSLR cameras, Flash, Dreamweaver and Wacom Pen Tablets.
- Graduates leave with a portfolio and the tools to excel in the rapidly changing field of visual arts.
- Participate on fun, supervised excursions and visit nearby studios to see how the pros work.
