Horizon Ranch
Residential boys' summer camp Alamo, Nevada

Horizon Ranch is an outdoor motivational program for LDS/Christian boys ages 12-17. Our program at Horizon Ranch is designed to help boys gain motivation, learn self-reliance skills, and build self-esteem. We offer a safe, rural environment on a working ranch in southern Nevada and run our program during the summer months. We give our boys opportunities to show responsibility through the care of our ranch animals, fields, and facilities.

Each boy will be given certain assigned chores and constructive projects through which he will learn and apply basic skills. We also do a number of outdoor activities such as: -Paintball -Obstacle course -Leather Working -Scouting Merit Badge classes -Swimming in natural warm springs -Wood working -Fishing We integrate basic LDS/Christian values into our program to promote respect, honesty, and morality. We combine outdoor exercise, ranch work, service projects, personal religious reading, and motivational seminars to teach skills, foster unity, and boost self-esteem.

Cherith camps cover North America and provide a unique setting away from a camper's normal activities. Camp Cherith is a wonderful environment for teaching Christian values and life skills in the camp setting. It is a place where campers learn to make Christ a part of every aspect of their life.

Each of the 22 camps offer a variety of skill activities and outdoor experiences from the traditional camp experiences such as archery, swimming, crafts, and canoeing, to activities such as waterskiing, rock climbing, sailing, and mountain biking that are unique to their geographical area. Some camps have girls weeks, boys weeks, coed, or a combination. Cherith Camping has been around for 60 plus years, is inter-denominational, and affiliated with Pioneer Clubs. Sanborn Western Camps
Residential camp with concurrent sessions for boys and girls Florissant, Colorado

Our non-competitive, individualized program emphasizes personal growth and adventure in the high peaks of Colorado. We own 6000 acres in the Rocky Mountains and have an outstanding staff and facility. Month-long terms for third through tenth grades as well as fifteen-day terms for first through fourth grades. 2008 Dates: First term for 4 weeks (ages 9-16): June 15- July 15; Second term for 4 weeks (ages 9-16): July 18 - August 17. Sanborn Jr. Camp Program for 2 weeks (1st - 4th grades): June 15 - June 29; July 1 - July 15; July 18 - August 1; and August 3 - August 17.

Activities include: Backpacking, horseback riding, mountain climbing, natural sciences, water activities, arts & crafts, and much more. Brother - Sister camp for boys and girls age 7 to 16.

-Gates Camp for Boys and Girls Clubs
Residential summer camp with separate sessions for boys and girls Ward, Colorado

Gates Camp is a non-profit camp offering week-long camp experiences for inner-city youth who typically don't have the opportunity to attend camp during the summer. Our campers are ethnically diverse 8-13 year-olds, many of whom come from tough environments and just need a place to have fun and escape the sometimes stark realities of their neighborhoods. We are located at 9,200' in the mountains west of Boulder, Colorado.

We offer many traditional camp activities such as rock climbing, challenge course, canoeing, archery, horseback riding, etc.
