Camp FriendshipNestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains near Charlottesville, VA on 730 acres since 1966, Camp Friendship has offered a variety of programs for boys and girls ages 6-16. Traditional camp program for Juniors and Teens offers more than 40 activities for campers to individually choose from to create a fun-packed summer.

Camp Greenbrier for BoysA Tradition of Fun Since 1898, Camp Greenbrier is located in the Alleghany Mountains along the beautiful Greenbrier River in Alderson, West Virginia. It is a wonderful, safe place where cameprs have fun, develop self-confidence, and make lifelong friends. Boys 7 to 15 years old take part in the traditional camp program that includes archery and rifle, rock climbing, canoeing, snorkeling, kayaking, baseball, basketball. soccer, golf, tennis, swimming, lacrosse, and others.
For 16 to 18 year olds and those who have finished 10th grade, the Leadership Academy offers campers the chance to disvover their leadership skills in a challenging three-week program. Outdoor activities like rock climbing, airsoft, canoeing, a challenge course, and white water rafting are combined with instruction in areas such as time management, goal setting, public speaking, and leadership methods.

Gwynn Valley CampSince 1935, a summer camp for Boys and Girls, ages 5-14 which offers a farm, wilderness and traditional program that nurtures the child while fostering a connection with the land and the simple joys of childhood. The strength of Gwynn Valley is its nurturing environment in a child centered world where each camper will learn and grow under the guideance of a mature and caring staff. We are committed to each individual becoming a vital part of the community. Simplicity, acceptance, a non-competitive program, and an appreciation of the natural world are our core values. We maintain a camper/staff ratio of 3:1. Our residential camp offers sessions of 1, 2, and 3 weeks in length. We grow 70% of our food on our farm and operate an 1890's Grist Mill as an extension of that program. We also have a small Day Camp for children K-4th grade.

Outward BoundOutward Bound, a national nonprofit organization, offers over 500 adventure-based courses - year round - serving adults, teens and youth (ages 12+).
Course activities include rock climbing, sea kayaking, backpacking, mountaineering, sailing, dogsledding, canoeing and rafting in some of the most untouched wilderness areas across the nation. No matter the activity, courses focus on learning through experience, compassion, leadership and responsibility to both team and the environment. Courses range in length from 4 days to three months in length. Scholarships are available.

Blue Star CampsBlue Star Camps is an American Camp Association accredited summer camp for Jewish children ages six to sixteen. Camp RoanokeNestled within 700 acres of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, Camp Roanoke is conveniently located just off Interstate 81 exit 132. Since 1925, our campers have enjoyed outdoor adventures such as canoeing, field games, hiking, campfires and a challenge course complete with a 44-foot climbing tower. Older campers will enjoy off-site excursions like rock climbing and caving. Younger campers can stay for just the day with free satellite transportation.
Our affordable tuition includes lodging, meals, and everything needed for a week of outdoor adventure and fun. Makemie Woods specializes in FUN, while developing self-esteem, a sense of community and belonging and fostering growth in Christ. We offer a wide variety of overnight options and specialty programs for children who have finished kindergarten, through Senior High.
All campers discover the joy of campfires, boating, swimming, crafts, and becoming more connected to nature with relevant Worship and Bible Study. For older campers add in archery, ziplines, drama camps and off-site adventure trips, including Whitewater rafting, sailing, and a high challenge course.

Bluestone Summer CampBluestone offers four one week camping sessions in June and July. Our Resident Program will accomodate youth entering 3rd through 10th Grade, and our Trip Camps are for high school youth entering 10th through 12th Grades.
Our Summer Camping Program is based on a small group philosophy, which consists of one female and one male counselor to a group of around 10-12 kids. A week at Bluestone will provide campers with excellent opportunities for spiritual and personal growth, for meeting new friends, learning new skills, and challenging themselves.
In addition to daily arts and crafts, swim time and song time, Resident Campers have a daily bible study based on the theme of the summer. Hikes, creek walks, canoeing, sleeping out under the stars, nightly vespers, cookouts and s'mores are just some of the many other things to look forward to at Bluestone! Trip Campers can look forward as well to whitewater canoeing and rafting experiences, as well as other adventure activities depending upon which week they attend.
