Join us for an Adventure Camp experience like no other! Cheerio Adventures specializes in camp sessions from 3 days up to 14 days of unforgettable adventures. We are a Christian based adventure camp located in the mountains of SW Virginia along the New River. The camp is for boys and girls ages 10-17. All groups consist of 8-12 participants, to maximize the adventure experience and promote strong and long lasting friendships. Our focus on helping young people learn more about themselves, strengthen self-confidence, leadership, teamwork skills, is accomplished while challenging them in a safe and fun Christian setting. All equipment is provided.
Trips take place in NC, TN, VA and WV. Activities include rock climbing, canoeing, kayaking, whitewater rafting, backpacking, caving, mountain biking, sailing, wind surfing and more.

Camp Friendship
Coed residential camp
Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains near Charlottesville, VA on 730 acres since 1966, Camp Friendship has offered a variety of programs for boys and girls ages 6-16. Traditional camp program for Juniors and Teens offers more than 40 activities for campers to individually choose from to create a fun-packed summer.
Mix and match one-week sessions with Challenge Adventure Trips for teens or add a half-day Sports Clinic in Tennis, Golf, Gymnastics, Waterskiing, or Soccer instructed by professional instructors. For girls who love horses, the Equestrian Program with more than 90 camp-owned horses is for you! Staff and campers represent over 80 countries.

Camp Greenbrier for Boys
Residential boys' summer camp
A Tradition of Fun Since 1898, Camp Greenbrier is located in the Alleghany Mountains along the beautiful Greenbrier River in Alderson, West Virginia. It is a wonderful, safe place where cameprs have fun, develop self-confidence, and make lifelong friends. Boys 7 to 15 years old take part in the traditional camp program that includes archery and rifle, rock climbing, canoeing, snorkeling, kayaking, baseball, basketball. soccer, golf, tennis, swimming, lacrosse, and others.
For 16 to 18 year olds and those who have finished 10th grade, the Leadership Academy offers campers the chance to disvover their leadership skills in a challenging three-week program. Outdoor activities like rock climbing, airsoft, canoeing, a challenge course, and white water rafting are combined with instruction in areas such as time management, goal setting, public speaking, and leadership methods.

Gwynn Valley Camp
Coed Residential and Day Summer Camp
Since 1935, a summer camp for Boys and Girls, ages 5-14 which offers a farm, wilderness and traditional program that nurtures the child while fostering a connection with the land and the simple joys of childhood. The strength of Gwynn Valley is its nurturing environment in a child centered world where each camper will learn and grow under the guideance of a mature and caring staff. We are committed to each individual becoming a vital part of the community. Simplicity, acceptance, a non-competitive program, and an appreciation of the natural world are our core values. We maintain a camper/staff ratio of 3:1. Our residential camp offers sessions of 1, 2, and 3 weeks in length. We grow 70% of our food on our farm and operate an 1890's Grist Mill as an extension of that program. We also have a small Day Camp for children K-4th grade.
Primary activities at our coed camp include: Horseback Riding, Outdoor Living Skills, Farm, Mountain Biking, Texture Crafts, Rock Climbing, Grist Mill, Waterfront, Whitewater Kayaking and Canoeing, Pioneer Crafts, Sports, Fine Arts, Web of Life, and Backpacking and much more.
Outward Bound
Wilderness adventure programs worldwide
Outward Bound, a national nonprofit organization, offers over 500 adventure-based courses - year round - serving adults, teens and youth (ages 12+).
Course activities include rock climbing, sea kayaking, backpacking, mountaineering, sailing, dogsledding, canoeing and rafting in some of the most untouched wilderness areas across the nation. No matter the activity, courses focus on learning through experience, compassion, leadership and responsibility to both team and the environment. Courses range in length from 4 days to three months in length. Scholarships are available.
Since 1962, over 500,000 students have returned from an Outward Bound experience with a deeper knowledge of themselves and the world in which we live.
Blue Star Camps

Blue Star Camps is an American Camp Association accredited summer camp for Jewish children ages six to sixteen. We offer a truly amazing program that is customized to meet the needs and interests of each individual child. Blue Star presents our campers with a variety of activities ranging from Creative Arts, Land Sports, Outdoor Adventure and Nature, Waterfront, Tennis, Horseback, as well as a Living Judaism program.
Located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina, Blue Star empowers campers to develop independence, self-esteem, new skills and life-long friendships. Camp Roanoke

Nestled within 700 acres of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, Camp Roanoke is conveniently located just off Interstate 81 exit 132. Since 1925, our campers have enjoyed outdoor adventures such as canoeing, field games, hiking, campfires and a challenge course complete with a 44-foot climbing tower. Older campers will enjoy off-site excursions like rock climbing and caving. Younger campers can stay for just the day with free satellite transportation.
Our affordable tuition includes lodging, meals, and everything needed for a week of outdoor adventure and fun. Camp Roanoke offers a full season of residential summer camps for youth that will create memories to last a lifetime ... all in an environment that is accredited by the American Camping Association.
Makemie Woods Camp and Conference Center
Residential Christian Camp (Presbyterian/Methodist)Makemie Woods specializes in FUN, while developing self-esteem, a sense of community and belonging and fostering growth in Christ. We offer a wide variety of overnight options and specialty programs for children who have finished kindergarten, through Senior High.
All campers discover the joy of campfires, boating, swimming, crafts, and becoming more connected to nature with relevant Worship and Bible Study. For older campers add in archery, ziplines, drama camps and off-site adventure trips, including Whitewater rafting, sailing, and a high challenge course.
Financial assistance is available. Makemie Woods is a ministry of the Presbyterian Church (USA), welcoming all children.
Bluestone Summer Camp

Bluestone offers four one week camping sessions in June and July. Our Resident Program will accomodate youth entering 3rd through 10th Grade, and our Trip Camps are for high school youth entering 10th through 12th Grades.
Our Summer Camping Program is based on a small group philosophy, which consists of one female and one male counselor to a group of around 10-12 kids. A week at Bluestone will provide campers with excellent opportunities for spiritual and personal growth, for meeting new friends, learning new skills, and challenging themselves.
In addition to daily arts and crafts, swim time and song time, Resident Campers have a daily bible study based on the theme of the summer. Hikes, creek walks, canoeing, sleeping out under the stars, nightly vespers, cookouts and s'mores are just some of the many other things to look forward to at Bluestone! Trip Campers can look forward as well to whitewater canoeing and rafting experiences, as well as other adventure activities depending upon which week they attend.

Wellspring Adventure Weight Loss Camp in North Carolina combines Wellspring's renowned weight loss approach with adventure and activity. A small camp for 125 boys emphasizing outdoor adventure in a non-competitive atmosphere. Campers choose their own schedule and then build skills to increase self confidence. High Rocks is a place for fun and learning, for challenge and adventure, and for living in an environment that is geared to a camper's needs and interests. Aided by a well-trained staff we seek to teach and to inspire lasting skills and values. We offer ongoing opportunities for success, a freedom from inhibiting competitive pressure, and daily instruction in activities which promote rapid development of skills, an increased self-esteem, and a sense of community.
Activities include: Rock climbing, lake and whitewater canoeing, mountain biking, horseback, backpacking, and many more traditional camp activities. Our 1,000 acre facility adjoins a 6,000 acre state forest and is near Pisgah National Forest.

Camp Cayuga is a family owned/operated nonsectarian camp for children ages 5-15. You're guaranteed to have fun. That's our First-Time Camper Guarantee!
Campers (5th grade & higher) select their own activities each morning. Campers sign-up with their friends, so they can attend the same activities together that day. Younger campers are provided an activity schedule geared to their age.
